Q: What does it mean to be a "Private Community"?
A: Each homeowner owns their own house and land. Through the Homeowners Association, they also own all the common property in the complex. As a private community, the homeowner's association is responsible for the ongoing upkeep and maintenance like landscaping and snowplowing.
Q: What is included in the common property?
A: Common areas like the "Green", the entrance way, designated common areas located throughout the complex, roads, sewers and a pump station.
Q: When is household trash removed?
A: Household trash is removed on Mondays. Refer the the calendar (tab at top of each page) for specific dates and Holiday schedules.
Q: Are pools allowed in Lexington Green?
No. Presently, the Planning and Zoning Board will not allow pools in the complex. Therefore, all pools with filters are prohibited in the community. Jacuzzis and Hot Tubs are allowed.
Q: Do I need to review outside home improvements/renovations with the Board of Directors.
A: Yes. The intent is to preserve the charm and uniqueness of our community. Generally, projects need to adhere to the present style and color of the house. Planning and Zoning will not provide any work permits until the BOD has approved the drawings.
Q: Can I operate a business out of my house?
A: With the exception of a small day care facility (under 8 children), residents are not allowed to operate any businesses which brings traffic into Lexington Green.
